Love Old San Juan! Had dinner at Cafe Manolin, small hole in the wall local joint, excellent food! and of course Pina Colada's at Barrachina, because you have to!

We did the Eat, Drink, Walking Tour. Julie was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about her city. The food we had was great. I found the fish chips to be especially memorable. Didn't know you could do that with fish. Julie was careful that no one got left behind. Loved the old architecture! Umbrella Street was neat. Really enjoyed our excursion.

Loved, loved, loved San Juan. We stayed in Old San Juan and spent our days and evenings wandering the streets and forts. If you get a chance, check out the Sangria bar. Dozens of different sangrias. Sleeves of six 3-ounce glasses of sangrias of your choosing is highly recommended.

While in San Juan , done the window cave excursion. This was a really nice excursion with very beautiful sites to see. Prepare for a pretty long bus ride if you decide to explore this excursion, however , it was worth the bus ride .

Went to the forts and took a tour of them. Was very cool to see how the soldiers lived and all the history. Walked around the port town for a little while and it was nice. Met a bartender who from New Jersey who just moved down there a few weeks earlier.

I absolutely love this port. Whether embarking from PR to kick off my cruise or visiting on cruise itinerary, each time I have a blast. My favorite is the gasolina pouches. They're like an adult Capri Sun but with a high school volume. These punches taste so good lol. I usually bring about 5 boxes back on the ship to enjoy during the duration of the cruise and to bring home. I also enjoyed the historic scenery when we ventured off into our own little walking excursion.

We took the bus tour of old and new San Juan plus a short jaunt outside the city areas. It was extremely interesting to hear their history and see the impact of the related stories. The cities themselves seem to have recovered very well to date but the outskirts have a lot of work remaining.
