This port really impresses me, and it's already the second time here. Great, walkable old city with cobblestone streets, plenty of history, and lots of independent tours/cabs around if you want to see more of the city or island. We paid $90 for a 2-3 hr private tour around the new and old city.

If you love cities you will love it. I loved exploring the forts here and shopping. Make sure you get a pina colada from Barrachina that’s where it was invented. Great restaurants where you can try MoFungo a traditional dish. The shopping is ok but nothing too exciting. Street vendors sell knock off goods like in NYC. Ok stop, wish I had more time to explore the rest of the island.

Old San Juan is an amazing city rich in history, culture, great restaurants, and shopping. You can’t go wrong stopping here. No need for an excursion everything is right off the ship.

Did self guided walking tour of Old San Juan and the forts. Nice city, nice local residents. Still could see damage from Hurricane Maria. Best way to meet locals is to get out and walk.
