Absolutely loved HMC! Loved walking off the boat and directly onto the sand. Beautiful relaxing beach. Great place for families, no excursions necessary to have a great time, pool floats recommended.

Our favorite port by far. Beautiful island!! Not much for shopping, which was fine because we weren't there to shop. Walked around before catching our excursion. My husband and I did the snorkel excursion, took a boat out (only 6 of us total). This was my first time snorkeling, the gal doing the excursion was awesome. She took her time assisting me when needed, always made sure I was okay. They took us out in the middle of the ocean, we anchored up and had 45 minutes in the water to explore 4 reefs that were spread out along the boat. We saw tons and tons of beautiful fish. Water was beautiful Turquoise and warm, extremely salty. Well worth the cost of $59 each. They offer you a soda when you get back onboard. Nice clean boat, they even had a restroom onboard. Boat can hold up to 50 for an excursion, We lucked out since there was only 6 of us. Once we got back to shore we took a golf cart to the BBQ hosted by carnival since this their private island. The free BBQ offered hamburgers (not the awesome Guys burgers like onboard) and hot dogs and tons of side dishes. We played in the water and laid out on the beach. They have carnival staff coming around offering drinks, you use your sail-n-sign card for these. We each ordered a Pina Colada and a Bahama Mama in the tall twisted souvenir cups $32 for both... You'll see the charge on your statement under private island. Delicious Pina Colada, best I've ever had. The sand is so soft and feels like powder. Amazing day!

The island was really pretty. I was glad we went an got in the water. There were fish that were almost the same color as the sand in the water and the terns that were flying around were reflecting the green of the water on their bellies. It was amazing. The water is beautiful as well. I love that cobalt blue.

Beautiful island. The only thing that would make it better is staying overnight and having a beach party! The buffet food was good try the jerk chicken. Water was beautiful and cool. We got a clamshell because it gets really hot not much shade. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely beautiful beach with crystal clear water and amazing sand. I love that the ship has photographers right on the beach and in the water to capture some of the beach moments. Great drinks, I could use a yard of Miami Vice right about now! 🤣 Lunch buffet was organized and the food was good. Jerk Chicken was my favorite. A very good selection. Our first time visiting this port. The only part that was a little tough was the long line to get back on the tender but that is all dependent on when you choose to leave the island. We could have chosen a better, less busy time. We took advantage of the wait to check out the small market area for some souvenirs to take home. All in all a very relaxing beach day which for me makes it perfect!

This is our favorite port of call on any cruise. However, there had been storms the night before so the beach (and ocean water) was covered in seaweed which was a bummer. But we still made the most of the day, relaxing on the beach and enjoying the free lunch.

Half Moon Cay was AMAZING. When you get off the doc, just keep walking down the beach. You'll find less people (less kids) and more chairs. If you set near the pirate ship, you can chill to the music. You can rent those shade things, and we did, but it wasn't worth it. We were constantly in the water, eating, or drinking. I wouldn't suggest doing an excursion because the water is so beautiful you will just constantly want to be in it. Also, you can walk up to the stables and see the horses or across the island and see the sting-rays. You have to tender off the boat. So make sure you get your sticker EARLY!! We docked at 9. We couldn't get off the boat until 10:30. We were number 16 for the tenders. :( The only thing that I thought was crappy is that the Cheers! Program didn't apply to the island. And since it's a Carnival OWNED property, it should!
