The port is rough. Still recovering from storm damage. Like most in the carribean. However the people are great. Bypass the beach near the port and get a taxi to rainbow beach if you arnt doing an excursion. 3$ per person, 1 way. Beach is free. There is a bar resturant there that you can get chairs, umbrellas, and anything else. Great time. Dont let the port get you down. The island is beautiful and has a lot to offer! One of the best waters! Clear and gorgeous. Might want water socks for the large rocks

Snorkeling in the National Park was much better than in St. Thomas.

St Croix is so quaint and quiet. We did an ATV tour through trip advisor called Gecko Island Tours. These people are recent to the island, they are from Tennessee. Their directions to the shop were so easy and accurate. Just walking distance from the pier.(2 blocks). The ride through the rainforest was beautiful. Our guide Jamal was the best. Very informative and friendly. Highly recommend this excursion!!!!!!!!!!

We spent half a day at the Sand Castle Resort, a short cab ride from the pier. Day passes were $10.00 each and we were given the use of the resort change room, towels and use of the pool and beach. Food and drinks were at our own expense. The people who own the resort could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Love the Island. Loved shopping and speaking with locals. Had a great time. Just time at this port was too short.

Took a cab to Sandcastle $6 round trip. For $10 per person we got a rum drink, beach lounge chairs, umbrella, and access to the hotel facilities. Pool was under construction, but could use the other if we wanted. Beautiful views of the water, our cruise ship, nice snorkel. Restaurant onsite had burgers and fries (best fries ever anywhere!!) and around $12 I think. Pricy, but good. Bathroom/changing room hot and a bit primitive, but certainly useable!

AMAZING PORT! This was my first time to St. Croix and I absolutely LOVED it. Way less people than some of the other islands so you actually had room to breathe and stretch your arms LOL We did the catamaran excursion on the Jolly Mon and went to Rainbow Beach. The Catamaran served unlimited rum punch. This was my favorite port/excursion of my WHOLE trip! Highly recommend the catamaran trip in St. Croix :)

I’m ready to move there! No commercialism, no pushy sales people and not much cheesy souvenir shops. We swam and snorkeled while there. Visited a little restaurant called Polly’s & did some shopping. There was one little non-profit shop that sold arts and crafts made by the locals. The money made went back into teaching arts to the children there on the island.
