Very nice place. Don’t buy the gallon bags of “weed” lol. I think it may have been goat manure. Also just kidding. Seriously a great place and the river is beautiful.

Ire Mon! Walked right off the boat onto the pier. Traveled with my 65 year old mom and 2 kids so we just wanted to have an easy day. We booked a resort for a day at Jewel Runaway Bay Beach hotel which included transportation, food and drinks, as well as a water park. The ride each way was about 20 minutes. Their grounds are beautifully kept. Food was delicious. My favorite was the jerk chicken and peas and rice. We spent most of our day at the the water park that had plenty beach chairs, cabanas for rent, water slides, and our favorite was the lazy river. After lunch we went to the beach. Water was warm and clear. Saw some fishes swimming by the shore. The kids were excited to see that.

We did the bob sleds and climbed the Dunn River Falls. Had a blast! High pressure sales for you to buy their gifts but just keep walking. They are harmless.

This exceeded my expectations. I had heard so many bad things about Jamaica my expectations were very low, but this was a great surprise. It is very poor, but the overall port was better than expected.

What was once a beautiful charming place, Ocho Rios has become an aggressive place to visit. Be careful....people from taxi drivers to shop workers are simply out to get your money.. not embarrassed to use any tactics to do so.
