This is our 4th time in Jamaica. It's a beautiful country but people are very poor. They will try very hard to sell you something. Just say no and keep walking if not interested. However, they do have some beautiful handmade items at very good prices. We booked an excursion with Lola Tours of Jamaica. We've used her a few times. This trip we went horseback riding in the ocean, toured the capital, went through Fern Gully (beautiful scenery and pictures), and finished with lunch and some beach time

Visited Dunn Riverfalls and Bobsled in the jungle. Jamaica has too many activities and courteous people. Would definitely go back here again.

I've been to Ocho Rios before that's why when I came back on May 1st I didn't really want to get off the ship. The constant hounding by locals is truly annoying! I understand the need to make as many sales as possible while the ships are in port but the badgering is a turn off. My husband had never been before so I got off the ship for him. The highlight was I got my jerk spices and some good jerk chicken. My husband said if we ever return he's staying on the ship.

We been to this port many times and do not like how aggressive the people are to sell you something. Beautiful island- especially Dunns River falls but do not like the gauntlet you have to go thru to get in/out and at shopping port area.

Loved Dunn Falls, but the route out had you go through local vendors and I felt like I was being accosted. Hold onto your wallet and personal belongs - the vendors are over aggressive and not pleasant, so we did not buy anything, but tried to hurry out of the maze of vendors.

People at port were extremely assertive about buying things. Our excursion of horseback riding on land and in the ocean was fun. However, the land portion was under major construction to build a new development so the scenery was lacking.

Don't venture out on your own. The people are very aggressive trying to lure a few people away from the streets.
