Company matters! We had a great time! Did the hop on hop off bus & had the same driver each time!! He said that has never happened! We went to BIGG'S restaurant, next to Doc's Cave. It is awesome!! Great food! Everything was so good! Then, on to Doc's Cave next door. I am so glad I gave it another try. Last, walked to Margaritaville for a drink & just to say we went. Same driver, Winston! Some friends did Dunn's & really liked it.

Jamaica was great! We didn't book an excursion via Carnival. We just selected $20 tour when we got off the ship. We drank from real coconuts, did a rum tasting- it was great. Coco bread patties with Red Stripe Beer. We were shown the upper, middle, & lower class areas, schools, etc. There were so many unfinished construction sites. We ended our tour at the beach. Jerk chicken w/rice, plantains, carrots, green beans, & festival. I could smell & taste the rum in the rum cakes, too😁 We also went to a beach. I can't remember the name... It wasn't the popular one but it was nice & tons of fun. Our tour guide was awesome.

Wasn't sure about this place before our cruise. I had heard so many bad things and how unsafe it was. Well we took an Adult only excursion to a beautiful resort. It was the best excursion of our cruise. Not only was it stunning with ocean and mountains in the background, we snorkeled, took Kayaks out, sailed and all the food and drinks were included. Awesome resort.

The shopping was good, once you got past the somewhat annoying and persistent shills on the sidewalk. No one was truly annoying when told firmly ,but politely “no Thank You”. Be careful though of the cab drivers that say they will take you to the “Mall” or the shopping area, or the beach. Our driver got uncomfortably insistent that we should take his tour for $35.00, then $30.00. I had to tell him to pull the bus over when we got to the shopping area and he was visibly angry when 3 couples got off the bus.. He had the nerve to tell us that we didn’t want to use the public beach because “the Jamaicans go there”. Crew from Carnival had said it was every bit as good as the private “pay” beaches. They were right, everyone we met on the public beach was pleasant and we were not bothered at all.

Pretty country, enjoyed going to Rose Hall. Very interesting History. Our tour guides for the drive and at the mansion were amazing! The only thing I didn’t like were the locals waiting at the port to hug you and wanting to take picture then asking for money. You couldn’t just pass them to get on the ship, so it was no way to avoid it.

Take a tour and stay close to the tour guide try not to interact with the locals who are selling merchandise because they will do whatever to do their best to try to get money from you any way they can. the country is not the nicest, but it is beautiful in some areas. Do a beach getaway here that includes seeing the city and shows the history of the city.

We did a river rafting excursion through Shore Excursioneer and we had the best time! Our group had 11 people, age ranges from 5 to 72 and this was everyone’s favorite excursion. I highly recommend it!

We loved Jamaica!! We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved it due to comments from other people. We did the carnival hop on hop off bus. We went to the shops at rose hall which were nice and then went to doctors cave beach. The water was beautiful. The weather was great. And we watched a bunch of planes come in. It was an absolutely amazing day.
