Montego Bay, Jamaica Port Reviews

Montego bay was pretty awful. The people were pushy and downright rude. Just would not leave us alone. The traffic made getting to our beach a longer trek than expected. The beach was okay but the water was cloudy due to the rain. Oh and it poured its butt off.

Least fav port bc of the haggling from your first step off the boat, and the nastiness around main strip nearest port. We have friends that love this port & I’m sure if we had planned an excursion away from main area we would feel different. Island w it’s mountain views from boat is gorgeous. Would definitely try to go away from port area! Got offered weed every 10 steps 😬

I will never cruise to this port again, the beach was acceptable at Dr. Cave, but there are still hustlers, I do not like to be hounded matter what you are selling. The locals are very poor in this area, it just made me sad.

Went on an excursion. Beach getaway with unlimited food and drinks. Beautiful beach! Good food. Beach games and things to do. Friendly people. Very relaxing day here. Would definitely do again!

Very dangerous port. Went 2 years ago and have to stop here again on my cruise that leaves 01/14. Everyone warns how dangerous it is. And the drugs are rampant. Wish it was taken off the cruise itinerary...

Our itinerary listed Ochos Rios, not Montego Bay as our destination. We were not aware that a change had been made, as we wanted to visit Ochos Rios. Also we had booked an expensive excursion in Ochos Rios. Instead of a refund the excursion(snorkelling) took place in Montego Bay and was inadequate....for $71.USD p/p.

This one of most favorite ports . Was not sure what to expect but we did zip line tubing and horseback in the ocean... best day ever. Can’t wait to go back
