I strongly recommend Lamanai Belize Tours We were a group of 15 people cruising in Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. We took the first tender to port as recommended but at the port. We then took a 50 min van ride to the tour camp and a 50 min boat ride to get to the ruins with our tour guides Julian and Javier. At the ruins we explored 3 different Mayan pyramids with the second one being the tallest and it is possible to climb it using wooden stairs and the third pyramid. Javier and Julian were very knowledgeable. The food was really good (Chicken, rice and beans, cole slaw, and sweet plantain, and pico de gallo w/habanero) was prepared by Julian's mother and his wife. Julian and Javier did a great job as our tour guides and drivers and we definitely recommend this tour when in Belize. Thanks Julian, and Javier.

Jellyfish in the water - 3rd time. Expensive food and drinks. The jet skis were great.

Not worth getting off of the cruise ship...since this is Norwegian's private island, they can charge obscene prices for everything and they do. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they offered high-quality services and amenities that are better than other places, but their ziplines were lame compared to ones at other ports, the rope course on the ship was bigger and better than the one on the island, and their beach was awful. The "sand" was crushed seashells and rock which were super painful to walk on barefoot. Also annoying, in order to rent a paddle board you had to be 16 years old, which is completely ridiculous.

We wanted to go to Belize City but we couldn't get off the island. Everything was over priced and there wasn't anything that was "a must do". Won't book another cruise that has this stop on it.

I felt it was just a makeshift island and not the real thing or at least we did not dock near the real township/city of Harvest Caye.

Beach was nice. Just wish they included their food and drink on their island as on the ship.

The private island was nice. Wish the weather had been better. Two of our boys did the zipline and really enjoyed it. Would like to go back when the weather is nicer.

Its a nice pool and beach area. What is horrible about this port is everything is INSANELY overpriced. In order to go to independent excursions, you have to pay $25pp to get over to the mainland and the time waste doing so. I will never go to Harvest Caye again.
