This was our first NCL cruise. Overall it was a good cruise minus the weather being not good. The ship was nice and the shows were really good. The food was just ok, but not awful as some people have said. We enjoyed the buffet food more than the food in the main dining rooms. Maybe the specialty dining is that much better, but we did not do that.

It was slow loading, but not horrible. You can’t get on as early as you would Carnival or Royal.

The main dining room was ok. Service was slow. There wasn’t anything really great that stood out. The restaurants were nice though. We did not do any of the specialty dining.
Onboard Activities

Due to bad weather and rough seas, most of the outdoor activities were closed a majority of the time. There was not a lot of indoor activities other than gambling or drinking along with some bingo/deal or no deal gambling games.
Entertainment

The stage shows were excellent. They were definitely better than the shows on Carnival and better than Royal’s shows as well other than Royal’s Amphitheater shows.

The room steward did an excellent job. The waiters were friendly and got our orders right, but the service was very slow.

We enjoyed the ship and it’s layout. It is a very nice ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was comfortable, a normal sized cabin, and was well kept. The shower was bigger than the ones on Carnival and Royal.
The private island was nice. Wish the weather had been better. Two of our boys did the zipline and really enjoyed it. Would like to go back when the weather is nicer.
