NCL owns this island, but none of the food and drink on the island are included in your cruise. This caused us to not spend the entire time on the island. While I understand that NCL is trying to support the local economy, $32 for 2 adult beverages and a cola is a little crazy! It would be nice if NCL offered some of these things as part of their whole Freestyle thinking.

the tourist area was a relatively small shopping area- with out much to speak of... there was a pool of some sort towards the end - but we didn't investigate... we took the lagoon boat ride and saw some wonderful wildlife... but watch out- we got burnt--- don't for get your sun block!

It is so nice. The pool is ice cold - but it's a nice day to lay out. Food and drinks cost money (though it's their private island - so not thrilled with that aspect).

We did an eco tour on the Monkey river, next time will stay on the island - what a beautiful place. The infrastructure is excellent, nice beach and pool.

We did the Mayan ruin tour. Guides were very knowledgeable. The ruins are relatively small, but it was a good tour.
