We've been many times and plenty has been written by others. I wouldn't write anything except we took a ship excursion to the ruins at Tulum. The price of their excursions is one of the things MSC gets right. I've seen prices on previous ships for about 50% more than we paid, making this excursion a no brainer when I saw it. We quit taking cruise line arranged excursions 20 years ago, and arranged our own but for both quality and price reasons. We even sadly saw someone die on a ship arranged excursion that wasn't ran as professionally as the one we were on that time. Turns out our Tulum excursion got back 15 minutes after boarding time so had we done this on our own (which due to logistics and this possibility) we would have been sweating it out on the ship waiting for us or not. Tulum was pretty and hot. Enough said.

Again the chaos around the excursion meeting place was awful The excursion was lots of fun!! Great crew and the food was great!! The lack of umbrellas on the beach was disappointing but we loved the Twister experience and the crew members were charming

Cozumel is a great port to book excursions from parasailing to the snorkeling excursions they are very organized because its and old port and they had a lot of time to make things things go smoothly and they do go smoothly. the excursions are plentiful even if you don't have a plan you can make last minute decisions but book as soon as you get off the ship they will be waiting for you.

We love this port but we had to be back on board by 3:30 and that was very disappointing. This port was the highlight of our trip - did Salsa, Salsa & more Salsa at Playa Mia. What a beautiful resort, fabulous cooking class with Angel and dance instruction, food and drinks were awesome. Pools & beach top notch! We will return here!

Docked downtown for the first time and I was a bit surprised to find that the pier facilities were a bit run down. Because of the uncertainty of the weather, we just went to Carlos and Charlie's. I was surprised and a bit disappointed to find their whole beachfront is now packed with inflatables, but we had a good time in the water and watching crazed dudes climbing and jumping from them
