Don’t like docking downtown.

We stayed within the port shopping area, which was fine. Lots of high-pressure sales and lots of similar merchandise and alcohol. But you can get some fairly cheap souvenirs. Did not do an excursion as the cost for 4 on most was more than we could justify, especially knowing they're never quite as described. Stopped at Margaritaville, but decided not to pay $22 for a standard margarita.

Went on a royal Caribbean shore excursion to a local resort. The excursion was fairly priced for what we received.

Mr. Sanchos was fun…lots to do. Go with the all inclusive and add on a massage.

The shops are more conveniently located. I didn't like the venders trying to pull you into their huts on the main street. The little plaza at the far end is wonderful to relax and have a beer.

Visited the Mayan ruins. Very good for a historical and cultural perspective. The people at this port were the best, of any other! They were very welcoming, helpful, and informative.

No excursions but enjoyed walking around the shopping area near the ship and then sitting and watching the people.

This is my favorite port, a lot of shopping and nice beaches.
