Always love Cozumel. We went to Passion Island for the second time! The water was perfect, food was awesome, and the local beer was good after a couple of them. The margaritas were not that good, but I am not a margarita drinker. I spent most of my time in the water, with a beer in my hand. If you have never been to Passion Island, you need to go!

The port area is safe though everything is way over priced. It is usually crowded as the island has done a good job of getting pier space to handle as many large cruise ships as possible. Use extreme caution if you leave the protected port area. Expect to be approached by many people trying to interact with you. They will be selling you on everything from T shirts to opioids! Avoid walking by yourself......

Been here many times and I did not do an excursion.

We've been to Cozumel many time and always have a great time! The ferry ride to Playa del Carmen and excursions to the mainland are always excellent. Since we had never really toured the island, we chose the Trolley Tour. It was great! We sampled and bought lots of tequila! We enjoyed Coco Loco drinks and terrific fish tacos! The local shops wanted us to buy everything, but I think we held it to a rooster and a frog!

Lots of shops. People friendly.

Fourth visit… Unless you are accustomed to FIVE strong drinks before 11:00 am DO NOT do the “Mexology Tequila” excursion.

We usually go to Mr. Sanchos but this time we went to Nochi Cocum. Best decision ever!!! They have a 150 capacity limit, every day. Private beach with security at the gate. There were no locals trying to sell you stuff. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We got a 60 minute massage, unlimited drinks and a 4-course lunch. Just a awesome day. I think Nochi has taken Mr. Sanchos place for us. Can’t wait to go back.
