We had a great time at this port! We booked a private tour through Victor Bowden Tours. We got to hold monkeys and sloths at Victor's Monkey Business. Our driver when dropped off two of our group so they could go off shore snorkeling. Bowden tours had a boat waiting for them. The owner of the boat even went snorkeling with them. While they were snorkeling, the driver took the rest of us to the beach. The driver returned to get the two that went snorkeling. He then escorted them to where we were on the beach. When we were ready to go back to the ship, the driver took us back to the ship. It was a great day!

We sailed on NCL’s Getaway and Roatan was our first port. Our family cruised with 4 other families; a grande total of 21. Everyone in our group (kids included) agreed that this port was the highlight of our cruise, thanks to “Roatan Trips and Tour”!!!! I found them on Trip Advisor and not surprised by our experience, they had excellent reviews (#1 in Coxen Hole). Roatan Trips and Tour have multiple excursion options, but we choose to do the “make it up tour”, which meant we could choose a variety of things. We were happy with our first impression, as they pulled up in a beautiful air conditioned bus. They took us on an island tour where we got to see the diversity of the island and Steve Bush (the company owner) did a great job of telling us about the island, people and culture. Because of our large group, he brought 2 other guides with him. We made stops along the way for photo opts., like the Roatan sign and to the top of the island where we got an overlook of the ships in port. Then they took us to a local market, where we could buy souvenirs. After, we went on to a Monkey and Sloth sanctuary, where you could hold the monkeys, sloths and parrots; there were other animals as well. Later, they took us to West End Beach, where our group spilt up. This is where the extra guides came in handy. One guide stayed with our stuff in the bus and the other guides stayed with each group the entire time. I know some people worry about their safety when traveling to these islands, but Steve Bush reassured me that we had nothing to worry about... and we all felt safe. Some of our group went snorkeling while others took an underwater ride on a Glass Bottom boat. Roatan is home to the world’s 2nd largest reef , so both of our groups experienced exciting views of the ocean life. We did all that and they still had us back to the ship a couple of hours before sail away. What also makes “Roatan Trips and Tour” unique is that 25% of their proceeds go to fund under privileged kids through a school/ soccer program started by Steve Bush. We were even given the opportunity to see the impact their outreach was making to the kids; our meeting of the local children ending up in a soccer game between them and our kids. It was such a special time and good for our kids to see why it is important to “give” to others in need!!

We were not going to do anything at this port . But they had a monkey and sloth farm tour for $35.00 a person offered when we got to the port by the taxis. We had so much fun. The sloths are unbelievable. ...so sweet and cuddly. They also took us to several places to buy things. Would recommend it.

It's a bit dirty and everything is a ride away. Look up Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth Hangout. Totally worth the trip

Excellent. Did Tabyana beach party and snorkel. Was my favorite excursion. Beach was gorgeous, and snorkeling was amazing. The small groups for snorkeling were nice.

This was our favorite port as we had never been here before. We loved our Island sightseeing tour and beach. Wish we would have stayed at the beach longer and just returned with a cab, as our tour ended very early in the day (11:45 am) and shopping at the port was not good at all. Loved the island and beach was beautiful!
