We loved this port. Lots of authentic foods. Hubby and I had 32oz margaritas at Tequila something or other which were delicious, and only $12 each. Guacamole from the neighboring shop, which was FANTASTIC. Dolphins live in an area of this port, and performed through out the day. Lots of fun little bars and restaurants.

Costa Maya was beautiful. We did the beach with unlimited drinks. Our waitress was on top of it. Coming by in just enough time to get new drinks, without seeming overly pushy or missing. I asked her about the food and she said it was Americanized. We still ordered some chicken tacos, 3 for $5. They were good. The water was clear. There was some seaweed, but not too bad. We were able to Kayak for no additional charge. We had a great time.

Port shopping area is MASSIVE and port walk is long. Be prepared for the humidity and hike. We took a non-NCL excursion (Native Choice) and walked 1.5mi from the ship dock. If you do the Chocchoben ruins, need to be in good shape. Long tour, very humid, plus lots of climbing large temple steps. However, very worth it. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Awesome experience.

This place was amazing! We could have just stayed at port and would have had an amazing time. However, I'm glad that we did venture out to the beach. The sights were unimaginable. Beauty upon beauty!! The water was crystal clear and the beach was immaculate.

Booked an excursion through a 3rd party. The port is great don’t really need to go out of it but if you do it’s a maze getting out so just keep going around and around the circle until you find you way to taxis and you can find your excursion office or take a taxi from there. We took a taxi with an agency called Tuscan tours out of port to a beach about 10 min out. We pulled into what looked like run down restaurants and kinda scary but once in back it’s beautiful. We stayed a few hours and our package included open bar, snacks and a meal each. It was nice and great experience.

Loved yaya beach!!! It was by far my favorite beach I’ve been too! Clear as crystal, calm waters and peaceful atmosphere. You have to take a taxi to get to this beach! The service was amazing and having massage tables near by was a plus too! $30 for a 30 minute massage and it was wonderful! The only negative was locals walked around constantly asking you to buy their product.

We did the Maya Chan Beach excursion. This is not a Royal Caribbean sponsored excursion. We loved it. They only take so many people, you have your own sitting area with chairs, covered area, and it’s all inclusive. Food was great, staff was great…will do it again for sure.

We went to Big Mama in Costa Maya there was no seaweed, it was crowded. You only have to buy drinks and food they will set you up with a table and tablecloth, chairs, and a umbrella. Lots of salesman.

Maya Chan Beach was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
