Curacao was by far our favorite port during our Southern Caribbean cruise! We traveled with a group of 14 friends/family. One of our group members had arranged a snorkeling with sea turtles excursion via Facebook prior to our cruise in Curacao. Our driver (an air-conditioned passenger van that carried all 14 of us together) picked us up outside the gates of the Cruise Center a little while after we got off the ship in port. We drove around Curacao for awhile with the driver telling us all about things as we passed. We saw wild flamingos, Willywood, and lots of other cool things on our way to the beach where we were scheduled to snorkel. Snorkeling with the sea turtles was one of the coolest parts of our trip! The beach seemed a little sketchy...not many chairs and you had to pay for one if you wanted...they were quite rundown, but we reserved one to hold all of our stuff and bags. The restroom was “50 cent”, quite the celebrity bathroom! (I’ll post a pic on my profile🤣). Once done snorkeling, we all packed up and headed back into the van with our driver for a nicer beach area. Man, did he deliver! He took us to Playa PortoMari! It is an absolutely GORGEOUS beach! We want to vacation here! Fairly clean restrooms with a shower area, outdoor restaurant that was delicious and relaxing, great beach chairs available (they did cost, but I can’t remember how much we paid), and even wild pigs who are so sweet and ready for beach belly rubs! The water here was some of the best snorkeling we got on our GoPro out of our entire trip, and there is a dock for sunbathing and jumping off of out in the middle of the ocean! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and could have stayed another week!🤪 We reluctantly had to leave in time to drive back to the dock to get back on the ship. Look for pics on my profile! This was our favorite port! We swam with the sea turtles (not through the ship). It was amazing!!! We loved the island and have already talked about flying there to stay for a week.

We snorkeled with the turtles here, and oh my heavens it was the coolest thing I’ve ever done!! And the water is sooooooooo beautiful!! This was our favorite port! I wish we would have had more time to explore but I wouldn’t trade the turtle snorkeling for anything

On this island we did the Curacao Highlights and Beach Tour. We didn't realize it included a stop at the Curacao Distillery and really enjoyed that part of the tour. The beach part was just ok. If you get away from the shops around the dock and walk or ride into Willemstad itself you will enjoy a little slice of The Netherlands.

Again, we prearranged a driver and van. Again, not disappointed!! We went to 3 outstanding beaches, ate at a cute local eatery and toured downtown. By the way, Lagoon Beach is gorgeous!!

Curaçao is very colorful and interesting. We would like to go back and explore the island a bit more.
