We didn’t do an excursion here as we were told this city is very walkable. As soon as your off the boat you are in the middle of shops and places to eat. Kept walking the path and crossed over a floating bridge into the colorful downtown area. More shops, more places to eat. Spent a few hours here before taking a taxi to Mambo Beach where there is more shops and places to eat! Beach was crowded. You had to pay admission and pay for chairs. Make sure to only pay the beach attendant. There were people trying to collect your money that should not have been. Very lovely. As the sun sets the colors change. Just so beautiful here.

We went to the Curaçao Sea Aquarium and did the Sea Lion Experience through Royal Caribbean. This was one of our favorite experiences. It was limited to 6 participants and we learned a great deal about Sea Lions and loved every minute of kissing, petting, and hugging Snapper.

The motor boat snorkel excursion was spectacular. Going out into the ocean, seeing the beautiful homes in the lagoon, snorkeling at the sunken boat are all must do's.

If I visit this port again I would like to visit the little town. We only drove past it on our tour. We visited a curaçao liquor factory then headed to mambo beach. Mambo beach is beautiful but on a busy day it is insane! There weren’t any seats left for us it was very frustrating. I wouldn’t suggest coming here unless you arrive early and get some beach chairs.

There is enough to see around the port area if you don't wish to take a shore excursion. Walk across the Queen Anne Pontoon Bridge, visit the floating market and admire the Colonial Architecture. Visit all the shops and taste some liquors. Wait for the bridge to open and take a free ferry back.

The docking area is a long way from the main part of town, which is unfortunate because when I traveled there on Holland America we were right in the middle of things. Spent the day at the aquarium with the dolphin experience - the animals were well cared for and the facility was well maintained. I really enjoyed the experience.
