What a wonderful site to see waking up in the morning. A picturesque village with the mountains behind. We took a walk around and looked at all the usual tourist fare in about 50 or so vendor booths. After that we took on of the ships excursions into the rain forest to see the twin water falls. Very nice. We ate lunch upon our return onboard the ship; did not really feel adventurous enough to try any of the local restaurants.

Wasn't a fan of this island. Didn't really feel safe. We did do a rain forest tour that was spectacular. But again as we were heading back to ship locals were trying to sell us illegal stuff. Not a great impression.

They canceled our overpriced tour so we walked to port and got a $20 ride from an independent operator that took us to Sulphur Springs, the rainforest, waterfalls and most importantly Champaigne Beach. If you buy your own snorkel gear, you can snorkel right off the beach and have a great time for a fraction of the cost of the shore excursions.

We did river tubing as a family and had a great time - the island is best for people who are active and like water sports - not a beach island

We decided to go RIver Tubing in a fresh water river that was exretmely relaxing with a beautiful view of the island.

We took a tour to the interior of Dominica. The tour guide was excellent and easy to understand. We saw beautiful vistas and hiked to see the Emerald Pool. It was a long tour, but worth the time.

We took an excursion that took us to the Atlantic Ocean and then to the Champagne Reef for snorkeling. Would recommend the excursion eliminate the Atlantic Ocean drive and devote entire time to snorkel.
