This was probably my favorite port! Of all the ports I think the locals here were the nicest! We walked from the dock to downtown philipsburg to look around then decided to go to airport beach...we dwight decided to take water taxi back to port first cause it was a long walk (5$/person single trip or 7$ round trip all day) then got in a taxi ( 16$/person to get there and back) to get to airport beach! Although it was very crowded and not a lot of chairs and shade, we had a good time watching the planes from the bar!

The devastation from the hurricane last year is very saddening. We did the Maho airplane experience offered through Royal...We were a little disappointed since the larger planes don't fly in but we do understand why (there is very limited accommodations since the hurricane) so no need for those planes. "sunset" was great. food was good and priced nicely. service was very good for the amount of guests there.

Great. Cruise port area is large and clean. Take a walk to the left out of the cruise port (nice sidewalk) to the beaches and main shopping areas in town. Great beaches and bars. You can get two lounge chairs an umbrella and a bucket of six beers for twenty bucks.
