One of my favorite islands. We didn’t do anything but visit some of the businesses we had went to on a previous trip. Still lots of damage on the island. But they will rebuild. Still my favorite vacation destination.

We tour on our own by way of taxi. Went or Maho beach and Orient beach. A word of caution about Maho Beach. there is almost no shore/sand left and is very crowded. Also the waves can be rough I will not go there with younger children. Orient beach is more lay back and less crowded. Our cab driver took us around to the French side and we got see a great deal of the island. We spend the entire day with this person for about $160.00 so see what you can get when you get to the port

Our favorite. Beautiful beaches. We reserved in advance beach chairs and umbrellas from Lazy Lizard Beach Bar. Nik the owner and his wife are terrific. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced.

We shopped for a new wedding ring for my wife here. Neutral for this stop currently. She found a band she really loves and we bought with help from the shopping lady in negotiating the price. Should be all good right. We get back and she goes to have the ring insured and our jeweler thinks the ring is not work near what we paid for it. She is having it officially appraised right now. If it comes back not worth what we paid Royal Caribbean, Diamonds International and anyone else who will listen is going to hear about it. Just a word of caution.

St Maarten is beautiful. We were there in November. We went shopping for a little bit and got some souvenirs in the morning then went back to our ship for lunch. After that we took a water taxi again and did jetski. I think it was like $65 for both my husband and I riding together. The water is so pretty! I cannot wait to go back in March.

We did the chair lift Flying Dutchman zip line which I booked through shoreexcursioner.com. The chairlift was fun and the zip line was very quick. The views were great and we enjoyed it. It was a bit pricey but worth it. We returned to the ship and headed back out via water taxi to the beach where we rented 2 chairs and an umbrella for $15. We swam and relaxed on the beautiful beach.
