Did an island tour of both sides of the island (Dutch - St. Maarten & French - St. Martin). Don't recall which beach, but part of it was a nude beach....INTERESTING to say the least...the water was beautiful. Then we did some shopping at the port.

Go to the french side, they have really built it up. The old peir area is wondeful, the walk way and the beach is all fixed. there wasnt a beach the last time we were here. and of course had to go thru the market.

Spend the day at orient beach. Rent a couple of beach chairs and umbrella and enjoy people watching. If you prefer without clothes you can walk down to far end of beach. the food is great in the restaurants on this beach.

I thought the shops at St. Maarten was much more reasonable and I liked that the beach was right at the very front of where all the water Taxi. You didn't have to take a taxi to go any where.
