We did the Maho Beach airplane excursion. That part was very good. Enjoyed watching the planes coming in & had a nice lunch at the Sunset Bar & Grill. Did a little shopping right by the pier before getting back on the ship. Sad to see all the destruction yet but they are slowly coming back. It is still my favorite island. People were so friendly!

This is a tough one. We delivered humanitarian supplies and embarked 300 people who were trying to get off the island after the hurricane . I always want to help another human being when I can but it took a day out of our vacation and gave us another sea day basically. We were supposed to have an overnight in Aruba which was changed due to this diversion and this was disappointing. The folks who joined the ship in St Marteen were very appreciative and had very scary stories of the hurricane itself and then the stress of no water, food, and defending themselves from looters.

You must go to Sunset Beach Bar @ Maho Beach for drinks and plane spotting. Crazy, raucous fun. Go to Driftwood Bar for quieter time, still plane watching. It’s right down the road from Sunset. Otherwise Phillipsburg for great shopping and people watching.

I think St. Maarten is one of the greatest Caribbean islands! It is typical Caribbean island life and you get to experience that, yet it still is clean and feels safe. They are still recovering from hurricane Irma which was unfortunate, but very interesting to see.

We made the mistake of not scheduling an excursion ahead of time. Please read this review and take our advice and schedule something, whether it be a tour, snorkeling, the beach, etc. The Old Man Guavaberry liquor was outstanding. My favorite drink was the Guavaberry Colada. I HIGHLY recommend it. I got one on the boardwalk for $5. The drinks on the boardwalk seemed to be cheaper than those close to the ship.

Horseback riding in the sea was an experience! Again, another beautiful island.

Gorgeous, go to little bay beach at the Divine resort rent chairs and and I'm tell a for a total of 15 bucks and it's a glorious easy quiet family beach with mountains surrounding it. Taxi ride is 12.50 for 2 people

I don’t normally do excursions. I like to do my own thing. This was no exception, we found a cab and went into town and had a blast doing some more things that the locals do. But if you go here, make sure you go to the beach where those planes fly really really low overhead over the beach, you’ll never forget that experience. That is a must do.

Our favorite. Go to the French side. Eat at the Sunset Grill and watch the planes come in. You can see and feel them flying so close overhead. Just don't get blown away!

Take a taxi rather than the excursion - you see more and learn more. See both the French and Dutch areas
