Did the airplane beach excursion. It was pretty cool to see the planes close over head but the beach was very crowded with multiple ships there at one time. Should have done a walk around tour.

St Marteen got tore up pretty bad from those two hurricanes! It’s going to take at least 2 yrs for the island to fully recover! It broke my heart to see the devastation to the island and the struggles the natives are going through! There are still beautiful parts to see, and we did! Went to my first ever nude beach! That was interesting! lol!!!

We really enjoyed St. Maarten. Browsed a few vendors. Had a taxi tour of the French and Dutch sides. We had a spectacular lunch at Enoch's Place and ended up hanging out for a couple hours because the Caribe was cold and the shade was perfect. My wife had the ox tails and I had the red snapper. If you like red snapper you'll really like the way Enoch does it. After that we stopped at Serafina's. Hooked up with Uncle Freddy later on back at Enoch's and got a great scenic tour back to the pier.

We enjoyed St. Marten! March 1, 2018...the island was pretty much still destroyed from the recent hurricane. The construction crews were in full reconstruction mode everywhere to try and rebuild roads and what not. Very sad! The island didn’t look the same as it had when I had been there last time. 😢The stores, shops and restaurants are only opened when the ships are in port. We got some AMAZING deals at this jewelry store where Jim added two more watches to his already expansive collection. I picked out this beautiful white gold and diamond ring that is so unique, and a few gifts to bring home. We walked everywhere. Bought some t-shirts from the local humane society. I chatted with local goats. 😍 We ended up eating at the beach front restaurant on the recommendation of the jeweler (and it was on his dime!!) because he knew we were from Cleveland, OH...the owner of this restaurant is from Ohio too! Very cool!!! Good food! I will always return to St. Marten and I’ve been there a few times. Beautiful!!!!!

We did the private beach excursion with dinner. Beautiful beach and water. Ride there was by bus. Took approximately 30 minutes to reach the beach. Chairs are provided but umbrellas cost a additional $5. Well worth the investment. A restaurant is located onsite. They will bring your lunch to you. I ordered spicy bang bang shrimp poboy. It was fabulous! Tipped the waiter a few dollars. Great visit!!

We love St. Maarten! We rented a Jeep and did our own thing. There is one main road that circles the island so no worry about getting lost. We spent time in Marigot then headed to Orient Beach.
