I love visiting St Maarten. The beach is right there as you exit the water taxi. Front St and Back st are so convenient for shopping. And the prices are the best in the Carribean!! I must say, I am surprised at the number of stray dogs on this most convenient beach

Did not go far from dock as weather was veryinclement but people were very friendly in shops.

This port was excellent only because of the Safari Dive excursion. Otherwise we would have rather not stopped here. The shopping was not a good experience and the locals that met us at the dock were rude and pushy.

St. Maarten was gorgeous! Went to Bugsbys bar...the beach out in front of the bar was so nice and relaxing...drinks and food very good...we visited the hotel next door and it looked amazing.

We took a catamaran to Tintamare, Could have stayed all day. We saw the parade for the Carnivale celebration, that was great. St Maartin is more laid back and quieter than St Thomas, although shopping is still a big thing, beaches are excellent and the people are friendly. Yes english is spoken everywhere.
