Maho Beach was pretty fun, it was about a half hour ride from the ship and we stood on the beach and watched the planes for a while. The shopping area is amazing! Make sure that you try the Belgium chocolate there!

We rented a boat and went snorkeling. So much of the island has not recovered from the hurricane.

Careful here with the cab driver you get - make sure he understands where YOU want to go. Always fun to do Sunset Beach and watch the plans land.

We took the Jeep & Aquaboat excursion and it was the best excursion we've ever been on (we've been on many others in Mexico, Cuba, etc.)!! Sure's it's $125 but it's worth every penny! By Jeep you get to drive around the entire island, seeing the Dutch and French sides, stop at one of the top 10 beaches in the world and view a variety of sites. In the middle of the jeep excursion you stop to board the aquaboats which were an absolute blast! Similar to driving a seadoo but shaped like a tin fishing boat. We drove the boat through the inlet, viewing at least 4 shipwrecks then driving around the edge of the island to a beautiful private beach where we tied the boats together so we could swim and snorkel for an hour (where we found a ton of cool treasures...conch shells and all!) All of the beaches on the Fench side of the island are clothing optional so beware if you are traveling with children or are uncomfortable with nudity (not many people were nude).

GOOD SHOPPING, except Joe's jewelry tried to pull a switch on a ring purchase and it was recommended by the ship.
