Loved orient beach, which was the last stop on our tour of the island.

I was very surprised at the quietness of this port especially being in a tropical island. There was no music being played giving you a sense that you were on a vacation on a tropical island. The port was very very quiet luckily there was a small rum shop where there were 2 ladies that offered us samples of rum punch . So we sat there and bought a few drinks.

We did the ultimate island tour. Mainly because I wanted us to go to the French side. There were 2 stops and taking pictures from the bus was blah. If I did it again, I would do a private taxi tour. Have actual stops and get great pictures. Costs more. Also the boat ride in the bay was fun but not what I expected. I thought the boat would take us back to port. Nope. Back in the bus. Just an hour ride around good music (DJ) and drinks. No yachts because they leave in the summer hurricane season months. Do an excursion but pass on this one.

We got off the ship and had lunch at one of the hotels with the restaurant facing the beach. Very good food & wine. We walked around the port area, but the shops aren’t very nice and they all seem to have the same merchandise. If we ever go there again I’d schedule an excursion to a different part of the island.

Excursion got cancelled because not enough people. We went to Maho Beach for the day - AMAZING! Watching the airplanes and enjoying the awesome weather.

2 beaches were open of 37 available. I wish I never got off the boat here. The Hurricane just totally decimated this gorgeous little island.

No excursions at this port, just shopping. Still damage from hurricane last year, they need support to get things repaired. Great shopping within walking distance or taking a small boat across water from the port.
