They still have a lot of recovering to do from the hurricane. Yes, we did a car tour around St. Maarten. Our driver was Jessica and she was wonderful.

My parents love it there but we felt underwhelmed. Maybe it was just the limited areas we had time to see but it was our least favorite port

Took a bus, boat and bus excursion to see the French and Dutch sides of the island and really enjoyed it. Went to the flea market in the French capital and had a great time of haggling for gifts and got to see the major sites of the island.

Don't shop, buy it back home. Better stores have price fixed merchandise- same from island to island- shop back in the US. No bargains.

Rented a car and toured the hurricane destruction. The Island has many years of work ahead to repair and rebuild.
