The basic beach excursion to the French side (Orient beach) was a great deal: Transportation and lunch included. Was very nice.

Took a taxi to the Sunset Bar and Grill $32 per couple round trip. Comfortable and clean transportation - about 25 minutes each way. Food at the bar was great and beer was not expensive. We swam and watched the planes fly in and out. Great day!

The island was very lovely and we took a water taxi to the beach. Had a lovely time playing at the beach. We paid $35 for chairs/umbrellas/bucket of 6 beverages.

St Maarten is beautiful, but the damage of the hurricane is still very present. We had booked an excursion prior to getting on the boat and found out that day they had cancelled it. Luckily there is a company at the dock that takes groups out to tour the island. We got a larger group together so it was $25 a person for 3 hours. We toured the island and had brief stops at Orient Beach, Marigot, and Maho Beach. We did get to see one plane land, but only got to stay 15 minutes. This same company offers rides to Maho and back for the day. It was $11. Not sure if that was round trip or not. Maho was very crowded but absolutely beautiful. The beach space is limited all throughout the island due to the hurricane damage. The damage in NO way affected my trip or influenced my opinions. I loved the island and the scenery. I am open minded and just enjoyed exploring. They need our tourist dollars to help rebuild!

St. Maarten was a good stop. We did a bus tour of the Dutch and French side of the island. Great tour guide, nice time.

Love it and the Holland House hotel makes the best lobster sandwich and piña colada in the Carribean.
