one of our favorite islands. if you want a good beach, take cab to "boat yard beach". I think the cab is $5.00 to get there, its short ride. I believe its $20.00 to get onto beach but that includes chair, umbrella, free drink and free cab ride back to ship. Its an awesome beach, clean, easy to walk in, no big drops, great restaurant on beach that is open type, great bar, free wifi, clean bathrooms, showers outside, just an awesome place. Hint, its where the crew members go so you know its great. Well worth every penny. they do have a small gift shop also. love this beach. been there several times.

Go to Boat Yard is the best place to go $20.00 each to enter. Taxi there is $5.00. Boat Yard is clean, friendly the beach is wonderful and it includes chair and umbrella, they have snorkeling , food and a bar, they take you back to the ship as well. Super nice place and free wi fi.

Barbados is wonderful. It's not the prettiest island but the people here are probably the nicest in the Caribbean. We rented a car for the day. Get away from the port and see the island. Talk to the vendors and buy the trinkets from them, not the same shops you see in every port. We've spent a week here and would go back in a heartbeat!

WhatsupBarbados- what a fun time. Booked on line. Owner/Operator picked us up just outside of port gate...a short walk. Drove my wife and I (only ones) to a beach cove with water that was clear as bath water. Gave us a thorough lesson on SUP boards. Then all three of us went to the water. Hard work for old timers like us (60) but loads of fun. Highly recommended. Very friendly owner and we felt very safe. Owner sent us photos he took of the action for no extra charge.

The Boatyard. $5pp taxi to the beach. Welcome drink of your choice, 2 chairs, umbrella, water trampolines/slide, rope to swing out on from the pier. Excursions included a snorkel with the turtles and a shipwreck. Free ride back to the ship. $25 per person. It's where the cruise staff goes!

Take a cab to Carlisle Bay & enjoy crystal clear blue water. Take a snorkel tour right from the beach to see a ship wreck and watch sea turtles. It’s inexpensive & simply Marvelous!!

This is my new favorite beach! Went to harbor lights. $5 per person cab ride each way and $20 pp at harbor lights. This included chairs/umbrellas and 1hr turtle and shipwreck tour. The water was clear and beach was clean. There's showers for rinsing off and restrooms on site.

Our taxi driver brought us to Pebble Beach which is a public beach with no entrance fee. It was very clean and beautiful with restrooms available to change in. We saw sea turtles while we were swimming almost close enough to touch.

Bridgetown Barbados visit on April 11th, 2019. This was our 2nd visit to Barbados & we had such a great beach day here in 2018, that we decided why make a change ? We got a cab at the port for $5 US per person to Carlisle Bay Beach , which is a short ride. We went back to Copacabana beach club. We got there early before the crowds , & got our 2 lounge chairs & Umbrella in the front row for $20 US. There are some beach vendors on Carlisle Beach selling jewelry , fresh Coconuts, and boat rides to see the turtles & Shipwrecks , as well as jet ski rides. They are not too pushy & if you just say no thank you they move on. My wife decided to do the short trip to see the turtles for $20 US. She did see turtles & said it was fun & she would do it again. While she was off to see turtles, I ordered a bucket of 6 of the Banks Caribbean Lager Beer , & set back under the umbrella & just took in the view of the beautiful turquoise water. The water is so clear here that standing in water up to our shoulders , we could clearly see our toes in the sand. The beach is a fine powdery white sand, & very clean. I found no need to have water shoes to protect my feet. When my wife returned we ordered the Flying Copa Sandwich $17 US & the Classic Copa Burger $18 US .They came with French Fries & were excellent. Our servers Stefan & Patricia were attentive & made sure to check if we needed anything. It was a perfect relaxing beach day & we will return to Copacabana Beach Club on our next visit to Barbados 😎 We then just flagged a cab back to port for $5 US per person back to port !
