Barbados was also kind of dirty. We bookedca private beach day at the Hilton. The beach and resort were beautiful but not as breathtaking as nearby Carlisle Bay.

I don’t think that we saw the best of Barbados. We had trouble deciding what to do and ended up going to a restaurant frequented by locals. The food was amazing and the beer cheap. We enjoyed ourselves, but next time I think we will try an excursion.

Our 4x4 pickup truck ride to the cave, beach and drive through the Sugar Cane field was fabulous...Patrick our driver / escort was knowledgeable and personable and shared history like a professor along with other fine points about the island...His tour was definitely the highlight of all of our port visits...

Visited the boatyard 25 dollar entry fee including sunbed, umbrella, first drink, shuttle back to ship, and boat trip to turtles, great atmosphere bit pricy on food and drink, Got within touching distance of the turtles fantastic experience

Bridgetown is a fairly large town, so getting anywhere on foot isn't recommended. Either book a tour from the ship or when you get off the ship - be careful you will get different prices from different people for the same tours. But, the taxi drivers/tour operators were fantastic. We spent the day at the beach and it was clean, safe and the facilities were very good.
