Loved St Kitts, and it's monkey population! We took a $25 taxi tour which was fantastic. Beware of the folks booking tours when you get off the ship - they will promise the world and may leave you hanging. That said, we had a great driver in an open sided truck and learned a lot about his beautiful island!

The port is ok, nothing special but the island is beautiful! The scenery, the hills, the views from the water are just gorgeous! We took an excursion through Carnival and it was a small group of just 12, it was perfect! Two people each shared a small speedboat that was easy to drive and our guides took us around part of the island-the views from the water were amazing and so worth the splurge! We then were take to Shitten Bay where we snorkeled for about an hour. While the water is not as clear as we are used to and the sea life not as abundant, we still LOVED it! Our guides were great, the group was small, we had plenty of time to drive the boats and snorkel at our leisure. We will do this again!

St. Kitts had a nice arrival area with typical touristy shops but did not have locals screaming at you to buy their things, which was really nice. We did a Catamaran and snorkel excursion which was nice because the catamaran was just a short walk from the pier.

Took a tour of the island [Full Island Panoramic Tour of St Kitts by Annie's Caribbean Tours] that was informative and fun. This tour was though Viator; not the ship. There were about 7 of us in a mini van driven by Annie's husband "Spooney". Had a great time visiting Caribelle Batik, Brimstone Hill Fortress and Timothy Hill (were the Atlantic & Caribbean sea almost meet)

We did the catamaran to Nevis beach with snorkeling and swimming. The entire excursion was fantastic. The only drawback was the rum punch that was flowing. One passenger had way too much and had to be carried back to the ship. The crew on the catamaran needed to help and take responsibility for it.

Did a tour of the Basseterre, Romney Manor (Batik making) and Rainforest walk. Winston was our guide and he was great. The Rainforest walk took us way back into the forest. We crossed three creeks. Up and down at times where there was a minimal at best path. Winston pointed out various plants, trees, etc. No bugs which was nice. Would not recommend this tour for anyone with physical disabilities. The area near the port where the ship docks was not the best but there is shopping, etc. close by.
