Crane Garden Beach was the best for swimming in clear water with no rocks or seaweed. Would definitely return to this beach. Also, it was close to port.

Virgin Gorda Beach and Baths snorkeling trip we really enjoyed. Found the snorkeling to be just okay.... but the Baths are a sight and experience not to miss (if you are physically fit to walk through rock caves and climb over slippery wet rocks). Loved it.

Everyone should take the Catamaran/snorkel excursion. We had a great time.

We visited Virgin Gorda and the Baths, which is beautiful - the kids really enjoyed climbing through the 'caves' to get to the beach. Perhaps it was just that day, but the surf seemed rather rough and I would not recommend it for small children if it is always that strong. We definitey enjoyed the area, however once again the execution of the outing lacked tremendously. Our ferry was an hour and a half late; you have to take a tender to the pier, so you really have no choice but to sit at the pier and wait. It was quite hot and there was little shade. After 30 minutes, I was shocked they had not offered us anything to drink, and even more shocked that when we finally got on the ferry, after baking in the sun for 90 minutes, that STILL no water was offered, or even available for purchase. We were also told that if we were going to complain, to go back to the ship!!!!

Have only been here once, but enjoyed the beach. Pretty island. There are vendors everywhere, as on most of the island. We generally go to the beach early, and grab a cab back to enjoy the empty ship. Enjoy

Beautiful place. Like others said, a must include on any itinerary. Hope they recover from the hurricane devastation, so sad. Spent a little time on the island and took ferry over to JVD.

How different English and Dutch island are, vis-a-vis that of the French! Tortola was sheer delight. We took a trip by taxi across the island, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. It was interesting, clean, safe and attractive. We definitely want to return to Tortola. Maybe next time we will even venture to Virgin Gorda, which our tablemates visited and liked.
