We had an amazing time at Honeymoon bay, after being recommended by fellow cruisers, it was our first experience of a Caribbean island and we loved it so much we are going again in March 2019

This is an area that we would consider vacationing for additional days in conjunction with a future cruise. The tour to the top of the island and the gondola ride were spectacular. The excursion driver was a hoot. Enjoyed the shopping areas.

Took the ferry from this island to St. John’s to visit Trunk Bay. Cab ride to the ferry was $8.00 per person one way. Ferry ride to St John’s was $8.10 one way. Cab ride from ferry terminal to Trunk Bay was $8.00 per person. Paid the same for the return trip to get back to the boat. The ferry runs every hour on the hour. The entire trip, from getting off the cruise ship in St. Thomas, to stepping on the beach at Trunk Bay was one hour. We left the beach at 2:30 to catch the 3:00 ferry. This is a public beach that typically charges to get in, but it looked like they haven’t been charging people. They have chairs for rent and snorkel gear when you first walk in. This beach and island were bit pretty hard, but as you can see, it did not impact the beauty of this beach. If anything, it added more real estate for laying out.

This is a good place to hop on the ferry and go over to St. John! It is very low key over there and has some really good shops and bars to go to. Highly recommend!

St Thomas was the is land where we observed the greatest devastation from Hurricane Maria. We did a Sonny Liston tour with Elvis as our guide. We had elected an early start and Elvis picked us up promptly and took us into a shopping area and gave us 2 hours to explore. Many 'barkers' outside of businesses trying to entice you to enter, A smile and a polite firm NO was sufficient. We did have an excellent reprieve at the Side Street Pub on Creque's Alley downtown. Expats Kim and Elise kept us in cold beer and snacks while recounting tales of the hurricane and recovery. If you find your self on St Thomas with some time you owe it to yourself to check out the Side Street Pub.

Tour was awesome. The island is recovering nicely after hurricane. Such a beautiful island. Definitely suggest Magens Bay if you want a beach. It looked beautiful! I opted for Island tour.
