This was one of our favorite ports! We decided to venture out to Megan’s Bay by taxi and it was such an easy experience. $10 a person to Megan’s Bay, gorgeous views of the island on the way to the beach. The beach itself is pristine, life guard on duty who were funny and friendly and pointed out houses that past US presidents had stayed in and gave us some history! The water was calm and lovely to swim in. I’d suggest water shoes for the pointy coral but we did just fine without them! The taxis are so easy to use and both drivers we had pointed out different things and the best views for a photo! As someone who was nervous to venture out without an excursion I found it SO easy to get to and from the beach. The shopping was awesome near the port and all the people were friendly and not pushy at all. The entire island is really beautiful with lots of history. Can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I love this island!! The island is beautiful, and the locals are so friendly. We did the Sea Blaster/Snorkeling excursion. We had an awesome time snorkeling with sea turtles, and snorkeling around a coral reef. It was magnificent. After our excursion, we did a ton of shopping and sightseeing. We look forward to spending more time on the island next cruise.

Magens beach is an easy shuttle bus from port. Skip the taxis! No timer. Just enjoy at your own whim! Lots of shuttles to get back to cruise ship too!

St. Thomas is one of our favorite ports of call. Everything is beautiful people are friendly and it is where we buy all our jewelry from. We love it.

The dock was ready for our ship. The iguanas were there to meet us. hell of an interesting ride to the city for some walking and shopping. The local brew root beer was a delicious find at the chocolate place. The ride back in the back of a pickup truck with seats may 6yo actually asked if we were going to die. But we made it back safely. It was all part of the adventure. The island is still recovering from last years hurricane season. Needs the money bad. Shop local if you can and stay away from the name brand shops.
