Great Stirrup Cay is Norwegian Private Island. It's not really private when you get off a boat with a thousand or so people. I did bring my own snorkel gear and tried to snorkel but there's really nothing to see. The corals dead from so many people. But you can swim there on the beach.

This was our favorite stop! We rented a small cabana and it was perfect... Away from the main beach, very little activity, hardly anyone at all. There were rafts, towels, cold water, and food waiting for us, and a server for drinks! This was the most relaxing day. The large cabanas seemed further away from the water, and closer to all the noise and activity. We loved the small cabanas location so much that we made sure to reserve one again I December. Wish we spent 2 days here, gorgeous!! It is a bit of a trek to get there but it's worth it.

One of our most favorite days only because we had some chill time on the beach, no excursions planned. All of the beach chairs were on a downhill slant of sand so you constantly felt like you were slipping off. The “buffet” they talk about was just burgers and hotdogs like they had every day on the ship, nothing special. My son didn’t eat bc he was sick of hotdogs at this point. Service on beach was poor, took forever to get drinks or even get noticed sometimes. I had to chase people down or walk up to the bars myself which were overcrowded. I give 3 stars because atleast we were able to get beach chairs unlike on the ship but partly probably only because we tendered over in the afternoon after most people had already gone and come back onboard.

Beautiful beach... we wandered a bit past the main crowded area of the beach so that we could enjoy swimming and sunbathing in a more peaceful area. The nighttime beach party the first night was fun, and it was nice how Norwegian provided free food on the island. Again, though, we wish we could have stayed later into the day-- leaving our two main ports by 2pm two days in a row really cut down on sun/swimming time!
