Enjoyed spending time shopping right at the port area and had some lunch and drinks at Senior Frogs.

This port was way better than I expected. We just went to the shops by the port but we had fun. Had local food, beers and listened to live music on a beautiful day. Couldn’t ask for more.

We did the Sea and See excursion. It was a nice excursion. We had two excellent guides that gave us a lot of information about the area. We went to the Nature Center first. It was just the right amount of time and walking. There were a number of children on this excursion and it held their interest. We went on the glass bottom boat next. The crew was excellent, the day was great and we saw sharks, rays, beautiful fish and coral. The ride to and from the reef took us past beautiful scenery. We then proceeded to the beach where we could use the beach , dining and drink facilities. There is also a nice little inexpensive shopping area. The merchants were so friendly and accommodating. There is a nice shopping area with bars and food areas right off the ship

This port a lot of people complained about in previous reviews so we booked the swim with the dolphins excursion. Definitely worth it! What a great time. The bus drivers to the boat were friendly and told us history of Freeport. The boat to the dolphin area was a lot of fun. The captain of that boat gave us a run down of our experience and some local history. The dolphin swim was so much fun. Truly a lifetime experience.

Since we heard there wasn’t much to do at this port we used this day as our beach day. Took a cab to the beach since it’s not close to the port. Really enjoyed the beach.

Took a cab to port Lucaya strawmarket. Had deliciouse Pina Coladas in the coconut and had Fried Conch, Conch Fritters and Conch Salad at Daddy Browns. Could not be more fresh and delicious.

A cruise to the Bahamas is one of my favorite cruises to take! Freeport is my favorite of the two stops (Nassau is the other stop) in the port alone there is so much to do, the cutest little shopping area, hair braiding, music and so much more! If you’re a first time cruiser or looking for a super fun quick trip this is perfect! I just love Freeport.
