Freeport was so-so. I recommend doing an excursion so you don’t get caught up in the tourist traps and the locals trying to sell you the same stuff every 10 feet .

All there is to do when you exit the ship is a small, clean straw market and senor frog's. Unless you're doing an excursion, you only need a few hours to walk around the immediate port area. Around noon they start playing island music in the center area. There were clean bathrooms accessible.

We were verry disappointed in this port. It was realy just a quick shopping trip with no real redeeming qualities. We did shop a bit then went into town and commishioned a wood burned peice.

We did a fishing excursion in Freeport which we enjoyed until everyone on the boat became sea sick because the waters were so rough, but I would do it again for sure. The port area was a big disappointment. There’s only a hand full of shops that seemed a bit pricey for our budget. Nothing was marked with prices and when you ask about pricing it would change from the time they tell you a price until checkout. Overall the locals are friendly.
