So happy to see this Port reopened. Loved the shops and open air tents to shop for local art and crafts. Friendly people. Not pushy. Food was amazing!

People say there's nothing here, but I found the little colorful shop huts right at the port to be delightful, and we enjoyed looking around and buying things. It was a charming little area, with lots of shopping for souvenirs. No one was pestering us for taxis or excursions there too!

We spent today in Freeport. We leisurely made our way off the ship, caught a taxi $12 cash round trip per person (@big white tent) to Port Lucaya Market place, from drop off spot we walked to the free beach were it's a little rocky. We walked down the beach to the Lighthouse/hotel where the beach isn't as rocky. Hung out at the beach a little more, then walked through the property to exit, and walked back to the Marketplace, browsed for awhile, bought a beverage, then we caught taxi back (same spot of dropoff) to cruise port and hung out there for a little bit. We had 8 people in our party. The water is a little chilly, but sun was bright / warm so that helped. We didn't bring towels from the ship, since we felt that was too much to carry, especially when wet. We didn't spend any money on food, we ate when we got back on the ship.

We went to Grand Lucayan Resort at Lighthouse Point in Freeport . It was exceptional with unlimited drinks, food , infinity pool as well as the beach and views ...very relaxing and beautiful !

We love Freeport. No cars zooming around, and if you don’t want to leave port stores, food, music, etc is right off boat. Everyone is friendly.

WE HAD HEARD NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON FREEPORT. WE WERE VERY SUPRISED AT HOW MUCH WE ACTUALLY ENJOYED THIS PORT. THE SHIP DOCKS RIGHT ON TOP OF ALL OF THE LOCAL MARKETS. THERE IS A SENOR FROGS, FAT TUESDAY'S, DEL SOL AND MANY LOCAL VENDORS. WE DID THE DOLPHIN SWIM FOR ABOUT $205 PER PERSON. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. THIS WAS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE. GREAT ALL AROUND.

I love that they've built a little shopping area right as you get off the ship. It gives you something to do without taxiing into Lycaya. We did not do an excursion as we wanted to enjoy a less-crowded ship. We walked around the shopping area for about an hour. The merchants were the least pushy we've ever encountered which was very nice.

I loved it here. I want to live amd die in freeport! Beautiful waters, wonderful people. I think every person i looked at had a smile on their face, but in a place like this, who wouldnt!?

I read and read about how there is not much to do in Freeport and everyone was right. However this was our favorite part of the whole trip. We took a taxi to the Grand Lucayan and bought a day pass. Their private beach is amazing. The infinity pool is amazing. This was a great stop and a great day!
