This was our favorite because of the scenery. We went to Baddeck on an excursion and enjoyed the ride and museum.

The Bras d’Or Lake and Gaelic village settlement were very interesting and beautiful. However, it was very cold and windy so we didn’t spend much time touring. Dress warm in cooler weather!

Visited the Alexander Graham Bell museum. Scenery was beautiful, but the bus trip was not good. Sound system did not work, engine was extremely loud, and the tour guide could not be heard when describing the sites. Several people on board tried to fix the sound system. The bus driver and tour guide did not seem to know how to operate it. This bus should not have been in service as a tour bus.

don't take the sydney highlights unless your idea of highlight is an indian reservation and info for more than 75 minutes. If you want to donate to the cause give 30 to 35 dollars and forget tour

We didn’t do an excursion, we walked on the pier and had lunch at the Portside. Good food. We then walked to the military museum on base. Very small, but the gentleman there was a pleasure. The shopping noted on the Norwegian supplied map was just a bunch of crafty stuff you would see anywhere. Oh and the big fiddle, of course that’s right at the pier, you can’t miss it.

Nothing much in town. Trip to Highland Village was nice, but needed more stops to make it worth the travel time. Everything is at least one-2 hours away.
