We did the top 10 best of Saint John tour. The only reason I gave it this high a Mark was because of the tour guide. Too many of the sites had to be seen from the bus.

We did the only excursion through RCCL here. It’s a coastal photography tour with a (retired) pro photographer guide and 19 of us on a mini bus. We visited several places including the famous reversing falls. The purpose of this trip was to learn from the pro how to take good pictures, whether with an SLR camera or an iPhone. I have to say, the scenery was good but there are many better places for photos. It is the tips and lessons that we learned from the pro of 30+ years on this tour that’s priceless.

I enjoyed Saint John, New Brunswick, it is a interesting place. Yes I went on the Big Pink Bus Hop on, Hop Off Tour. The guide on this tour was terrible. I don’t recall her name, but she didn’t let us know where we were or what there was to do. It was disappointing because there was a park I would have loved to take some time walking around.

We went into town about a 10 minute walk to a very interesting indoor farmers and craft market. It was amazing to see the artisans and compare prices. Food was cheaper due to the wonderful exchange rate.

We walked from the cruise ship along the path to see the harbor seals and the reversing falls. The first half of the walk is lovely until you reach a major highway which you have to walk next to. It is worth walking The extra distance to reach the observation platform.

In autumn, try the excursion to the maple syrup farm for perfect photos

We rented a car and drove to the Bay of Fundy. Best decision ever, we could stop for pictures when we wanted and had additional time to enjoy our experience and the beautiful scenery.

This is a fairly average port. The City Market is easily walkable and has great local crafts and food. Be sure to stop in at the info counter, they are super helpful and informative. Also if you are there just before high tide be sure to see the reversing falls. Any other time and the falls are fairly average rapids, not really falls.

We went to see the reversing falls. Paid $30 each for the trolly tour to see that, as well as a few of the other sites. The tour lasted just over an hour. There is only 2 - twenty minute periods of the day when the rapids and falls are not visible (due to tides). Unfortunately, our tour was during one of those two times, so we saw nothing except some very still water. I would recommend that the tours would be scheduled so that you get to see what you paid for. Very disappointing. However the tour guide was friendly and informative.
