Skagway was my favorite port on this itinerary. We rented Jeeps at the popcorn place and drove up into Yukon and Carcross. Just gorgeous, even in the pouring rain! Stopped at the Red Onion Saloon on our way back to the ship. Really great day! Can’t wait to go back someday!

White Pass Railway is a must!!! Incredible views. We rode the train up just over the Canadian border and our shuttle driver picked us up there and drove us back down. They stop and let you take pics on the way down. This is a good one all ages would enjoy.

This is a great port! We booked our train ride over White Pass on our own and saved about 50%. We saw Bears and Mountain Goats from the train. The train takes up into Canada but you don’t get off the train. We spent the rest of the day walking downtown shops. I recommend this as a place to get off the ship and explore.

Besides Victoria, this was my favorite stop. I understand that the train can be cool but I think we got a much better value by renting a jeep from DIY rentals and driving into the Yukon. We had the whole day, could stop whenever we wanted, could go farther and it was less than half of what the train would have cost us. Saw a couple of black bears at Emerald Lake and crossed paths with a momma and baby moose. Skagway has a beautiful waterfront area and the locals were very friendly.

Such a cute little town! We rented a car and drove the Yukon highway! Let me tell you this was the most BEAUTIFUL scenery I have ever seen in my life. I mean it was legitimately breathtaking.. We drove into Canada and stop at some sand dunes and a little lake called Emerald Lake. It was positively incredible!

If I could give this port 10 stars, I would!! By far one of my most favorite places I’ve ever been!! So much history in such a small little town!! We did the White Pass Summit train ride excursion (about 3 1/2 hours) and it was AMAZING!!! We were in port for 11 hours so we had plenty of time to explore the town once we finished our excursion and we took advantage of every single minute!!

Great tour to the Yukon with Chilkoot Charters. Lots of snow still at the summit, lakes still frozen, incredible scenery, great lunch at Caribou Crossing, interesting wildlife museum and got to see the husky puppies.

The Main Street in Skagway was nice but all the shops had the same things. There is a neat popcorn and fudge shop. I'd recommend paying $5 for an all day pass on he shuttles. It doesn't look for to downtown from the ship but it's farther than you think. We did the white pass to the summit excursion. It's a 3 hour excursion with some breathtaking views. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a low energy tour. Also for those of you with mobility issues there is a car with a lift that makes it very easy to get on.
