Skagway, Alaska Port Q&A

Our Skagway stop was cancelled along with our excursion due to damage to the dock from a landslide. We are stopping at Icy Strait Point instead. Our cruise is May 22.

The area where the rockslides occur only affects the one dock, so this pretty much just blocks the ability for two ships to dock.

We went last year, the answer was "not at all". Only a slight delay since we actually docked and then tendered around to clear the closed off area. Other ships were docked right next to the town.

Royal Caribbean, Quantum of the Seas, canceled our stop in Skagway and refunded our money for excursions we had booked. We're stopping in Ketchican instead.

Leaving out of Frisco on May 29. Haven’t heard of any changes in Skagway as of this date for our cruise but do expect one.
