The was our port of debarkation. We boarded a train, which was our transfer to Anchorage was the best idea that our agent recommended!! This train excursion had full windows in a dining/bar car so we could order food, coffee, cocktails. Best of all the porter/tour guide/waiter provided us with history, markers, points of interest and the wildlife to see along the route, even saw a glacier. This made for an amazing last look of this beautiful wilderness before getting to big city and a bonus point is the train actually pulled right up to airport!

Got in the day before our Denali tour. Went to the Anchorage Museum, was worth the $18 admission and a nice small 4 story museum. Then went to the 49th State Brewing, this had the best Seafood Chowder I've had. What a great 1/2 day.

We really liked the trolley tour that took us to Earthquake park, Lake Hood, and around the downtown area. The tour left from the visitor's center downtown. Our driver/tour guide had grown up in Anchorage and even lived there during the "Good Friday earthquake in 1964."

The City Tour of Anchorage is very worth the $20 and one hour of time.

Major Marine Kenai Fjords 6 hour tour was outstanding. We had a great time. We saw Orcas, countless Humpbacks, Sealions, Harbor Seals, Puffins and Sea Otters. The glacier was beautiful. Top notch crew and a great boat for sight seeing. I would do this tour again if I make it back to Seward.

Liked this port as it was Alaskan native, not the commercialization of some other areas

We came off the boat and on to the train to Anchorage so didn't get to see much of Seward, but the train ride was excellent.
