Wow! Our All time favorite port! We booked our ZipLine tour outside the ship excursion and saved 50%. It was at Northern Exposure Adventures, they also have Kayak rentals for whale watching. They picked us up at the dock, I can’t speak more highly of this place! We were the only people there, it took about 2 hours and they gave us the most personable treatment ever! There were 9 total zip lines in the canopy, I put a video on you tube, just search for “Ketchikan Northern Exposure Zipline” We walked the shops downtown, I recommend trying “Johnnys Alaska Salmon” where you will be amazed how good it tastes, I recommend buying some cans to take home. My only negative was that we needed more time at this port.

We really enjoyed our very short time at this port (6 hours). If only we could’ve had more time to explore this gorgeous place! We did not do an excursion due to our very limited time. We walked around the town & shopped! The views were beautiful!!

Fun town. A mix of touristy shops and locals just going about their day. Kids get in free at the history museum. The Boward Street Brewery is a hip spot. Some of the shops sell stamps in case you want to mail your postcards.

Booked crab feast from George Inlet Lodge. Best Dungeness crab! Book direct from their website to save money. They provide pick up and drop off service from port.

We did the Deadliest Catch tour and really enjoyed our time in Ketchikan! Learning how they caught crab was very interesting. Holding different sea creatures was fun! And seeing the 10+ eagles fly around you was breathtaking! Didn't really spend any time exploring the city because of our short stop here! After the tour we quickly picked up a couple of souvenirs on the dock and had to board our ship!
