The tour was expensive and a taxi ride would have been as good. Don't book it. Do it yourself when you arrive.

The Mendenhall Glacier was wonderful - although way too crowded for my tastes. You do have to see the waterfall, though. It's gorgeous, and offers a great view of the glacier.

Juneau, the capital. It was raining here too. Went for a walk around town - it's nice but nothing unique. Again we didn't do any of the tours.

Coming in and out of Juneau was absolutely beautiful. We saw tons of whales on our excursion here and also got to take a detour and visit a really nice lookout to see the Mendenhall Glacier. We also took the tram and that was really nice to view the area from that high up.
