Best of Juneau was a great excursion...orca point...whale watching and Mendenhall Glacier. We stopped at Tracy's to get a crab leg in Juneau before heading back to the Ruby. BEST LEGS EVER!!!

Loved hiking to Nugget Falls at Mendenhall Glacier. The salmon hatchery was smaller than we expected but had a lot of good information. The salmon bake was very good and the staff there was very nice. We got into port earlier than planned so we had time to shop and eat lunch at the Red Dog Saloon.

Juneau was a great place. Lots of fun on the gold panning and salmon bake excursion. Was bummed as our helicopter tour to mendenhall glacier was cancelled due to the fog and weather. We had a 100p tour, maybe next time try to book something a little later as it did clear up a bit a short time later, but not sure if any of the helicopter tours ran later in the day.

Did the Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake. Price was a big factor in choosing this excursion. The glacier area was beautiful, majestic and really peaceful. I know there were a lot of people but it did not feel crowded. Only down side was lack of time. We had only 1 hour and it is not enough to go all the way to the waterfall and do the other trails, visitor center etc. Also, be aware they do not have any water/drinks. After that, we had the salmon bake. Although the salmon was good, the whole thing was a little underwhelming. Tips: bug spray, water bottle, good shoes. Weather was hot. Also, if just interested in glacier, there is a shuttle leaving from tramway area. Might be better to be able to stay longer. I want to go back to the glacier!!!

Did a whale watching tour. Saw whale but it seemed like bunches of boats racing each other to see who could get to the whales first.

The Coral Princess ruined the entire day by not confirming the Helicopter Ride cancellation until we went on the pier🙁 They subsequently booked us on another Helicopter Tour but then again same cancellation at last minute due to weather.... question is don’t they have access to forecast???? 😡😡 Wasted entire day. We finally took another wildlife boat ride and Mendenhall Glacier trip via bus and then to the Roberts Trolley to go up for the views and trails.
