Fishing is great and be sure to go the the Salty Dog on the Spit to add your dollar bill to the wall

Played on the beach, visit shops, and saw fisherman's catch. Did not catch shuttle to town, just to one to the spit's shops.

I used to live in Alaska. Almost 10 years there. I spent more than a few vacations here fishing salmon and halibut. A gorgeous place you'll want to go back to I'm sure.

Best halibut ever for lunch out on the land spit. Walked all over town had a coffee at Safeway.

Not really a solid tourist spot, had relatives living in Homer so it wasn't consider a touring stop.

The Homer "Spit" is mostly just shops with the same things over and over, bars & restaurants. There was a complimentary shuttle to the "Spit" but we really didn't appreciate the $20/person to take a shuttle into the main part of town.

We enjoyed the “spit” but was not willing to pay the amount charged for the bus I to town. The town is losing out on business by this charge.

Free shuttle service was great. Shops nice although some were closed due to late season.
