Went back in August. When we got on board we saw advertisements for an excursion for Tracy Arm Fjord. We did not see this while booking online through the cruise so we asked the excursion desk about it. Turns out it is not always offered due to conditions of the area. We decided to book and I would highly recommend it. I thought it was well worth it. The journey was absolutely beautiful looking at the towering mountains. We were able to get up close and personal to two glaciers. Much closer than what the ship could get to. The boat can weave around the ice blocks and back out of tiny areas allowing us to get much closer. It was breathtaking. It also rained the day before so we were lucky to see hundreds of cascades and the boat got very close to a large waterfall (and it sprinkled while on the boat). The boat ride itself was enjoyable to me. I personally will stand outside in the freezing wind and mist just so that I can have a clear view the scenery. Exercise those sea legs if you are going to stand the whole time!! Bought 3 cups of hot coco throughout to warm me up. If you dont like the cold you can stay inside. It is warm and has seats. If you have the option, you love boat rides, and getting close to the most beautiful landscape then don't miss out on this opportunity.

One of my favorite places on our cruise. So beautiful and quiet. Loved seeing God's creation in such a unique setting. Room service breakfast and enjoying the splendor of the Fjord was a slice of heaven.

Unfortunately we were not able to cruise Tracy Arm Fjord as the weather was very poor, low visibility, and the Sawyer glacier had experienced heavy calving so the ship could not get within sight of the glacier. Instead our ship’s Captain took us to Endicott Arm Fjord and the Dawes Glacier. This is a different fjord that extends off the same inlet as the Tracy Arm. Stunning scenery, and a great view of the glacier.

About to go on my 5th Alaskan cruise with Carnival. Always look forward to Tracey Arm Fjord. On different occasions, we have seen whales right before we entered the fjord and mountain goats. The view amazing and beautiful. BTW, Captain or crew member have ALWAYS announced the arrival into a new port or location.

Just gorgeous. Glacier, blue icebergs floating everywhere. HAL served us salmon chowder bowls while viewing. Weather gorgeous. Children in pool getting sun while we coasted through the scenic passage. Awesome.
