My husband and I, along with our two children ages 13 and 7, just took this cruise and are dying to talk about it! It was simply phenomenal! The food was excellent, there was an enourmous list of activities to choose from, the excursions were a blast, the shows were entertaining, but most of all, the service was superb!

We have taken many cruises in the past, with many different cruise lines. However, this one was by far, our favorite! Our family is a very sporty and adventurous family; however, we each have our particular tastes and priorities. This cruise offered amazing options that suited each of our various wants and needs.

A note to parents with younger children...the Legally Blonde and the dance show were more PG-13 than PG rated, in our opinion. This actually may have been listed on the itinerary; however, we incorrectly assumed that all shows are like Disney ones. Great shows, but if you are a conservative parent, you may want to leave the little guy in the kids' area while you enjoy the shows. This is the only thing, about this entire cruise, that I would have done differently. No big deal, though. My seven year old did not exactly pick up on the language and gestures; we just happen to be conservative parents.

The service was, by far, the best we have ever experienced on a cruise. The staff was attentive, efficient, and extremely polite. Everyone was always smiling and helpful! Amazingly engaged staff with contagious smiles and enthusiasm!

We highly recommend this cruise, regardless of your age or preferences. There is something here for everyone! We will certainly return.

We had such an amazing experience, in 2014, on the Getaway, that we will be returning this year. The customer service was exceptional, the food was savory and fantastic, the atmosphere fun yet relaxing, and plenty of activities to choose from.

Our friends recently returned from their Getaway cruise, and loved it also! 

We highly recommend this cruise, especially to families with school aged children. After being on many other cruiselines, we have found that the freestyle dining, that only NCL offers, is simply impossible to beat. We like to choose what restaurant we want to go to, at whatever time suites us, and to sit together as a family. We don't think we could ever sail with another cruisline again, and be forced to eat at certain time everyday, at the same restaurants, and to be seated with strangers. 

The abundance of activities on this ship were also impressive. There is something for every age group,and level of adventure. 

The only thing we feel needed improvement, were the number of shows, and the type of shows. We felt the "dance" one was a bit risque for children to watch. We also felt there needed to be more of a variety. 

Overall, though, we loved it! So much so, that we will be returning this year!

We just returned from our second NCL, on the Getaway ship. This time, our destination was to Honduras, Belize, and two cities in Mexico. Just as last time, we truly enjoyed every second of our cruise.

Our family of four (husband, wife, 15 year old daughter and 9 year old son), is highly adventurous, fun, and athletic, who enjoy relaxing as much as exciting activities. NCL offers all of this, on its ship, and excursions.

The customer service, attention to cleanliness and safety, are evident, as well as the focus on fun. The abundance of activities gives every age group options.

We highly recommend NCL, and will be returning again soon.
